Dangerous Future?

Where does our nation fit in this world’s overall final destination
Since we’re surrounded by enemies and the death of Americans brings such elation
All would rejoice at our downfall, as we are the “Great Satan” in their estimation

They resent our protection of Israel…on the Jew’s elimination their heart is set
Rouge nations desire nuclear weapons, so how will we handle the Iran & N. Korea threat?
Where do China and Russia REALLY stand…what secret agenda is waiting to be met?

Foreign leaders increasingly treat us with blatant disdain
Relationships with once close allies we’ve seen clearly wane
Seems like we face the WORLD alone, creating an economic & military strain

War is raging on different fronts while Arabs manipulate the price of oil
Not since WWII has the entire world seemed like a pot about to boil
Along side the foreign & domestic terrorists plotting to KILL on our very own soil

Doesn’t danger lurk from “RELIGIONS” that promote going to Heaven through “holy war”?
Or when we BORROW money from an untrustworthy nation beyond our shore
Astronomers warn that numerous comet & meteorite strikes lay in store

Will we be weakened by earthquakes or volcanic eruption as nature tends to spike?
WHERE would HELP come from if a catastrophic event should strike?
Even though our creed of humanitarian aid has helped ALL nations alike

Or will we just CRUMBLE from within like other mighty empires have done
With overwhelming FINANCIAL STRESS & political corruption on a rampant run
NOW leaving behind the Constitution our forefathers fought for and won

Abandoned are the Godly principles on which America was originally founded
Where are those days when TRUE praise & worship to our Creator resounded?!
Hasn’t compromise, complacency and apathy replaced the steadfast convictions that 1st abounded?

Don’t our leaders govern with their own agenda…SELF-GLORY hope to be crowned?
So, why do we look for POLITICIANS to SAVE us…turn our future around?
Isn’t there a danger of the very fabric of our foundation coming unwound?

So when we see danger lurking from nations all around…wars & rumors of war on every side
And dangers from within as the enemy resolves to conquer and divide…
What can we do? Where can we go? Is there anyplace SAFE to hide?

But just when all seems HOPELESS…the heat has been turned UP awhile
When EVIL is in full bloom…there isn’t anything left for Satan to defile
THEN remember the promises HE made to keep US from the “HOUR OF TRIAL”

The promise that all who are His WILL be saved, caught up to Him in the air
Snatched away at the trumpet’s sound…OH, what a GLORIOUS event we’ll share!
An unshakable hope to cling to…one non-believers cannot dare

So you see, nobody can know for certain what our nation’s future will come to be
Will America participate in Armageddon…or to what degree
But a TRUE Christian’s future is AFFIRMED, SAFE, SECURE…all can agree

Don’t turn a blind eye to the dangers that lurk thinking I’LL get by somehow
Be guaranteed…a future with our Lord & Master and all the Glory Heaven will allow
