How Will You Handle Change?
By: Maxine M.

Have you ever sat back and considered your life then sighed happy and content
Problems all seem solved & now its smooth sailing…the message life has sent
You worked so hard to this point…ahead lay years of peaceful retirement
BUT LIFE IS FULL OF CHANGE…
Suddenly your health is gone…problems no one can solve or reverse
Those “Golden Years” are spent dependent on a care-giver or nurse
That happy sunny disposition changes to sadness, depression or worse
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE CHANGE?

Your JOB is “challenging”, but rewarding…you’ve given it your complete devotion
Even through those “problem solving times” when you DESERVED a promotion
You stayed LOYAL while others constantly caused a commotion
BUT LIFE IS FULL OF CHANGE…
CHANGE has hit your company…new bosses are in control now
Or your job is lost, future UNCERTAIN…you simply must start over some-how
Worry & anxiety flood your mind, but a defeated spirit you must not allow
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE CHANGE?

The wedding day was beautiful!! In great expectation you signed your name in INK
Soon came those days of diapers and baby bottles in the sink
And days of scraped knees, lost toys, potty training & hearing, “Mom!! I need a drink!”
BUT LIFE IS FULL OF CHANGE…
They NOW think they are independent…ready to take on life’s demanding test
The apron strings must be untied…or “loosened” at best
Or perhaps yours is a home where all the “birds” have left the nest
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE CHANGE?

A Major decision in life is what area and which house to buy
We all have unique needs…where to live, love, laugh & cry
A SAFE, sound, sturdy “HOME”, on which we can rely
BUT LIFE IS FULL OF CHANGE…
The evening news shows how a home can be LOST in the blink of an eye
By storms or perhaps financial ruin…our broken spirit can only ask “WHY?”
Or a move is on the horizon…so hard to tell family & friends “Good-bye”
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE CHANGE?

All sorts of people fill our world…our loneliness they help abate
Friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and that special “chosen” mate
Their humor, wit, laughter, even tears…our very soul can saturate
BUT LIFE IS FULL OF CHANGE…
People can grow apart and become indifferent…time and distance can be to blame
Irreconcilable differences or loss of emotional ties can do the same
And it’s assured in our lifetime…the death angel, a loved one, will claim
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE CHANGE?

It’s the spring-time prom…she checks the mirror to see if everything is alright
With dark silken hair & long flowing gown, she’s an elegant sight
OH!! How graceful she’ll dance in her young beau’s arms tonight
BUT LIFE IS FULL OF CHANGE…
The legs are now stiff…every movement takes determination, strength and might
Wrinkles appear in the mirror…raven hair has turned snow white
The beau became a husband…but went home to Jesus one devastating night
HOW WILL YOU HANDLE CHANGE?

Reality is “CHANGES” are INEVIDIBLE…will happen along life’s path way
Some are subtle, some drastic, BUT SOME changes are for our BETTERMENT…time will convey,
If instead of RESISTING, we listen to what the Holy Spirit has to say
HE IS IN CHARGE OF CHANGE!!
So we need NOT FEAR “unavoidable” change because Jesus NEVER changes, we discern
In HIM we find UNSHAKABLE certainty, Blessed Assurance…for which we yearn
And He’s PROMISED to help us THROUGH the changes…help at every turn
PLEASE LORD, HELP US HANDLE CHANGE!

Judy,
Please thank your Mother for her poem on life, especially from me, okay?

All I can say, after reading this poem, is amen.

Judy,
There is a new blog, called, Ways of the Holy Spirit, now. If you, (or anyone else) would like to join us, just click on my name. It was established because of Mike's and Jen's recent infilling of the Holy Spirit. I believe you would enjoy it :)

May God bless you richly,
Love,
Marge
Thanks for the invite Marge! Maybe I will drop by and read a spell. I find I usually don't have much to add to these things by the way I've been "corrected" in the past. I usually just read and discern. must confess that I quit going t "the cave" because there were a few personalities that just grinded my gears and were temtping me to not be very nice myself, sooo...:)
Things have been TOTALLY kaotic here in our family and lives. I've told you of our surgeries...but also Mandy has had major health issues, Steve was laid off from his job (Gateway) and lots more. PTL most of our issues are being worked out and will be good to go! GOD IS ALWAYS GOOD AND FAITHFUL!!
Thanks again for inviting us to the NEW place! :)
Take Care Miss Marge!!
Love Judy

Judy,
I'm sorry to hear that you've had some health and job issues in your family.
How is your daughter's health now? (Mandy) There is a prayer list, at the new Blog, if you ever want to use it, too. And I'm agreeing in prayer, with you, for the Lord to meet your every family need, as well. Because God is good, and His mercies are new every morning, amen?

Be sure to at least, come and visit, okay? (new blog) Things are getting off to a slow start, but that's entirely okay. Grace and Mary (Blood Bought) have come to contribute, to join with Wilma, Lori (Campsmore) Jen, and the guys. (Mike, John (Boatman) And best of all, it's a peaceful, and loving enviroment. We hope for many others to join us in the near future. You are certainly invited, along with everyone else :)

I miss hearing from you. So do pray about coming and checking in at the new blog sometime, okay?

May God bless you, and your family,
Love,
Marge

GOT TROUBLES? by Maxine M. We read of tragedies in the paper, see them on tv every day We're shocked and saddened, but soon just go on our way We may send a comforting message, really not knowing what to say But then!! As is inevitable, a crisis strikes us or our loved one In panic we ask "why"? Who can help? What can be done? Now there's no putting it out of mind, there's no place to run When YOU get the call in the middle of the night When YOUR doctor says "I'm sorry, this report shows something is not right" When YOUR job is lost, it was Your house that burned...what a fright Then trouble becomes personal, there's no room for apathy Our desire is..Of this pain, sorrow, grief... to be set free! But, knowing WHERE to turn, that's the vital key Counselors, doctors, and medicine can only help to a certain degree Support from friends & family is wonderful we all agree But when all is "said and done"; Dear Lord, it's just You a...
Hope vs. Certainty by: Maxine M Hope: Webster defines as the feeling of what we want will happen, our desire we'll see Also as the person or thing from which this expectation will come to be Now each person's hope varies to an individual degree Certainty: fixed, settled, sure, positive....that which we can not doubt Thy Word, oh Lord, forever settled in Heaven!!, a certainty we can shout North is always north, truth is always true...not matter what else comes about Mary and Martha HOPED Jesus would come, so brother Lazarus wouldn't have to die Disappointed & let down...tears of sorrow they would cry But the CERTAINTY was, Jesus IS the Lord of Life, death's victory He could deny The disciples HOPED the Messiah would free them from Roman domination, in their day That Israel would be exaulted...all enemies made to pay The CERTAINTY was, He came to free us from sin, Salvation had just come their way David clung to HOPE, that God would relent...his child He would spare...
Milk and Meat By: Maxine A baby’s distressed wail fills the night…“I’m hungry” is what is meant For newborns WANT & NEED milk to keep them happy & content Milk!! Nature’s perfect food, promoting growth & development…good health will represent But then as time goes on, solid foods are introduced, much to their delight Cereals & mashed vegetables to help a baby sleep through the night Then finally MEAT as their digestive system develops, acquiring strength & might Now, the bible states that as Christians, we move from “milk” to “meat” as we mature & grow Remember!!, how verses like John 3:16, in our “infancy”, made our faces glow That 1st realization that GOD LOVES US…the greatest love we’ll ever know Beautiful psalms soothed our spirit, chased away fear, brought His presence near As a parent quiets their child, we could feel His everlasting arms appear Promises of one day knowing He...
